About Susan Alby…

photo_SueSusan Alby has been sharing her joy of music and dance with people of all ages for over 25 years. Playing the piano throughout her childhood led her to the study of dance in her young adult years. Finding this was her true pursuit, she began teaching ballet, tap, and jazz in the local community. She eventually discovered the magic and fun of Ballroom and Latin dancing, and immediately knew it would play a vital part in her program of instruction. At Northern Michigan University, Susan, earned a BA in Art & Design with a minor in Music. While working on her degree she enjoyed teaching basic social Ballroom and Latin dance classes for Adult Continuing Education in Marquette. Upon returning to Wisconsin her interst in Ballroom and Latin led her to instruction with a champion dancer at one of the nation’s largest franchise studios. It was here that Susan was able to incorporate her knowledge of techniques in classical dance. In 2006 Susan founded her business Chance2Dance in order to teach social style dancing at various locations in the Sheboygan area. Her main goal is to share the wonderful worls of dance with others. In Sheboygan she is presently teaching at the internationally renowned John Micheal Kohler Arts Center. She continues to study with the very talented teachers at DanceSport Studios of Cedarburg. Susan enjoys dance at every level – studying, teaching, performing, and most of all having lots of fun.
